Morcinek in the UNESCO Associated Schools network
Since January 2015, the School Complex No. 1 belongs to the group of UNESCO Associated Schools. What does it mean? The aim is to work towards building understanding and developing cooperation between nations, and thus promoting a culture of peace in the world.
As a UNESCO school, we carry out tasks based on four pillars of education: learn to know - that is, to acquire tools of understanding; learn to act - be aware of the impact on the environment and take advantage of this opportunity; learn to live together - be an active member of a group, society, be able to cooperate; learn to be - develop your personality, learn personal responsibility. That is why our school undertakes projects for:
global problems and the role of the United Nations in solving them;
education on sustainable development (global education);
education for peace and human rights;
dialogue of cultures and religions (intercultural education).
