School exchange with Königin-Luise-Stiftung Berlin

On February 20-24, 2017, a school exchange with Königin-Luise-Stiftung Berlin took place. 23 students, two teachers from Berlin participated: Inna Fischer, Stefanie Heindl and a teacher from our school, M.Sc. W. Szweda. Students from Berlin got a tour of the school and took part, together with the participants of the exchange with Oberschule Seesen, in the programs as well as trips to Katowice and Kraków. A particularly important item on the agenda was the trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. While the Berliners were learning about the camp, the Polish participants of the exchange took part in a meeting with an Auschwitz survivor, Zdzisława Włodarczyk, who was invited to our school by the organizer of the exchange. The exchange was an opportunity to establish contacts with peers from Germany, improve language skills and look at the European as a place of cultural integration.
We would like to thank the families for welcoming the students, all those involved for their help and the Polish-German Youth Cooperation for funding the program of all exchange participants.
